The Chicago White Sox received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Red Faber, allowing them to shoot down the Minnesota Twins, 1-0. The White Sox raised their record to 2-1.

The White Sox got a clutch hit from designated hitter George Davis. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the White Sox.
