The Chicago White Sox got a sterling performance from pitcher Eddie Cicotte, but the Cleveland Indians still prevailed, 4-3. Cicotte threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Bob Feller, who is tied for 9th in the AL in strikeouts with 37, was the winner. He's now 2-3. The loser was Eddie Cicotte. The White Sox fall to 14-18 and continue their lackluster start to the 2014 season.

The Indians got a big at-bat from second baseman Bobby Avila. For the game, Avila was 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Cleveland a 2-1 lead.

Cleveland manager said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
