Milwaukee turned a fine outing from starter Mike Caldwell into a victory over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. The final score was 5-1. Caldwell got the win, improving to 6-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 0 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Now 12-19, the Reds have not played well this season.

Milwaukee went up, 3-1, on Carlos Gomez's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Gomez hit in the top of the ninth, left Cincinnati pitcher Rob Dibble shaking his head.
