Dodgers Suffer 6-3 Road Loss
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers got a superb performance from pitcher Don Drysdale, but the Miami Marlins still won the game, 6-3. Drysdale came in in relief and pitched to 21 batters. The winning pitcher was Josh Beckett. His record now stands at 3-2. The right-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits for the Marlins. The Dodgers drop to 12-18, as their fitful start to the 2014 campaign continues.
The Marlins got a big boost from designated hitter Moises Alou who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Dodgers hurler Don Sutton. It was his 2nd walk of the season and put Miami on top, 1-0.
"Things didn't bounce our way," said Los Angeles skipper .
