The Pittsburgh Pirates got a good effort from starter Doug Drabek in defeating the Toronto Blue Jays at PNC Park. The final score was 5-2. Stan Belinda picked up his 2nd save of the season. The loss drops Toronto to 15-14.

Pittsburgh took a 5-1 lead on George Grantham's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Grantham hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Toronto pitcher Tom Henke visibly frustrated.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Pirates manager .
