Chuck Klein left his imprint on the 7-4 Philadelphia win against the New York Mets. Klein, who is rated as the 33rd best prospect by BNN, went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Erskine Mayer closed it out for his 9th save. New York, with the loss, is 15-12.

Ed Delahanty was 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Philadelphia. The 27-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off John Franco. It was his 14th RBI of the season.
