The Reds had to work out of trouble with one out in the top of the seventh. The score was 3-0, Cincinnati. But Chicago, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had mounted a threat. Joe Tinker dug in at the plate. But on a 2-2 fastball, Tinker struck out.
