Athletics Deal Rangers 6-2 Defeat
|
Oakland Athletics starter Eddie Plank was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Texas Rangers, 6-2. The Rangers, now 8-19, continue their slow start.
It could have been a different outcome for Oakland, had it not been for Eric Chavez, the 26-year old third baseman . Chavez contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Oakland up, 4-2.
Said Oakland manager : "We squared some balls up."
