Mets Resilient in 7-6 Win Over Miami
The New York Mets and Miami Marlins had fans on the edges of their seats.

In a tight contest at Citi Field, the New York Mets edged the Miami Marlins by the score of 7-6. New York catcher Mike Piazza, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Skip Lockwood, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1 innings.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Piazza hit a fastball from Chris Hammond for a run-scoring single. The Mets, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Enough drama for you?" winked Mets manager after the game.

The win puts New York at 14-11.
