Mariners Take Tight Tilt, 2-1
The Seattle Mariners earned a close win over the Texas Rangers, thanks in part to Jamie Moyer. The Seattle left-hander played a key role in the 2-1 victory. The Mariners, now 16-7, have been on a roll in the early going.

Seattle third baseman Kyle Seager contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 24th hit of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 2-0.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Seager.
