White Sox Earn 4-2 Road Win Over Detroit
The Chicago White Sox got a marvelous performance from pitcher Red Faber. The right-hander kept the Detroit offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Chicago victory at Comerica Tigers Park. In 8 innings, Faber surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The Tigers, now 6-15, continue their inauspicious start.

Chicago used a timely hit from Happy Felsch to get the win. The left fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the White Sox ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Felsch called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
