|
Seattle pitcher Felix Hernandez had a large part in his team beating the Houston Astros, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 5.2 innings, Hernandez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 3 runs. J J Putz recorded the save, his 1st.
Kyle Seager hit a run-scoring triple off J R Richard in the bottom of the third, which put the Mariners in front, 2-1. In addition to the triple, Seager had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
