Mets Rally For Late Win Over Cardinals
The New York Mets picked up a win at Citi Field, knocking off the St. Louis Cardinals, 5-2. Starting pitcher Craig Swan was a big reason why. Tug McGraw snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Bob Gibson suffered the loss. With the win, New York climbs to 11-9.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Cleon Jones came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing St. Louis pitcher Bob Gibson, he hit a first pitch sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting New York on top, 3-2.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Jones.
