Floundering Nationals Lose 6th Straight
Los Angeles Angels starter Jarrod Washburn was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Washington Nationals, 3-1. Washington, now 4-16, continues its dreadful start.

Mike Trout delivered a big hit for Los Angeles. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Angels ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Jarrod showed what he's made of," said Los Angeles manager .
