Ramirez Propels Cleveland Offense in 10-3 Rout
|
Cleveland designated hitter Jose Ramirez had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Toronto Blue Jays, 10-3. The winner was Cliff P Lee, who threw 111 pitches over 7 innings. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits. The Indians, now 13-5, have been on fire in the early going.
In the bottom of the sixth, Earl Averill delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the Cleveland pinch hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Indians in front, 10-3.
"This was a total team effort," said Ramirez.
