Atlanta Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
The Atlanta Braves have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading San Diego Padres, winning, 4-1, at Turner Field. Braves left-hander Tom Glavine threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Braves to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Round 2.

Glavine, the Atlanta left-hander, went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. He collected 4 strikeouts.

"It's a huge change in atmosphere versus last game," Glavine said after the win. "I feel like we're back in the mix now. We just can't let up."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Turner Field in Atlanta.
