Riding the 3-hit performance of first baseman Freddie Freeman, the Atlanta Braves stopped the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-4, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Freeman was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs for the Braves, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Freeman hit a fastball from Babe Adams for a 2-run double, putting Atlanta up, 4-1.

"We aren't quitting," Pittsburgh manager said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
