Milwaukee Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R1
Despite a great performance by San Diego right fielder Dave Winfield, the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Padres by the score of 9-5 at Miller Park. Winfield went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, but he could not prevent the Brewers from moving one game closer to the Round 2. Milwaukee now leads the Round 1 2-1.

Ryan J Braun helped his team take an early lead with a 3-run home run. It came in the first inning, making the score 5-0, Brewers.

"We're feeling good about this," said Brewers manager . "We have got an advantage now and we just need to keep the pressure on."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
