Milwaukee Win to Pull Even With San Diego
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the San Diego Padres, 9-2, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Doing his part was starter Teddy Higuera, who threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win moves Milwaukee into a 1-1 tie with San Diego in the series.

Milwaukee used a well-timed hit by Sixto Lezcano to capture the win. The right fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Brewers ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"The competition leap this year was tough to adjust to and I feel like there has been another jump in the playoffs," said Lezcano, a rookie this season. "You're only playing the best now and everyone has time to rest and prepare for you."

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, October 12th , 2014 at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
