The New York Yankees racked up a win at Fenway Park, bumping off the Boston Red Sox, 7-0. Waite Hoyt, who started for New York, pitched effectively for his team. New York, at 103-58, sits in first place in the American League Eastern Division.
Tommy Henrich helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Yankees.
Henrich told a New York Times reporter that he was "pleased as punch" with the win.
