Beat Goes On for Cubs, Win 11-3 Over Reds
The performance of Billy Williams proved critical in helping Chicago beat Cincinnati, 11-3. The Cubs left fielder was 2-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The Reds fall to 6-10.

Ron Santo had a big 2-run home run for the Cubs in the bottom of the second inning. With Chicago trailing 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from Jose Rijo and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cubs ahead, 2-1.

"We did a lot of things right," said Santo.
