Blue Jays Lose Late to Mariners
The Seattle Mariners beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 4-3. Seattle pitcher and Valencia, Venezuela, native Felix Hernandez led the way. The win puts Seattle at 86-71 this season.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Julio Rodriguez came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Toronto pitcher Mark Eichhorn, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Seattle on top, 4-3.

"Felix pounded the zone relentlessly tonight," said Seattle manager .
