Tatis Jr. belts 2 home runs, Supercharges Padres Offense
The first-place San Diego Padres played host to the San Francisco Giants.

With right fielder Fernando Tatis Jr. leading the charge, the San Diego Padres defeated the San Francisco Giants, 9-1, at Petco Park. Tatis Jr., who is tied for 3rd in the NL with a .905 OPS, slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. San Diego currently is in first place in the National League Western Division at 91-64.

With San Diego leading 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Tatis Jr. hit a changeup from Tim Lincecum for a 3-run home run. It was his 34th home run of the season and put the Padres ahead, 7-1.

"When the ball finds the sweet spot," said Tatis Jr., "I can't complain."
