Kansas City Gets 2-0 Win Behind Lefty Jackson
The Kansas City Royals rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Danny Jackson to a win, beating the Detroit Tigers, 2-0, at Kauffman Stadium. Jeff Montgomery earned the save, his 44th. The Royals now have a mark of 80-73.

In his 94-pitch effort, Jackson allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8 innings. He walked 0 and struck out 4.
