Giants Keep Reeling Off Wins
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers went down to defeat to Tim Lincecum and his San Francisco teammates. The final score was 4-2, in favor of the Giants. In 7 innings, Lincecum surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Sergio Romo earned save number 1 this season.
Buster Posey had a big solo home run for the Giants in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Francisco leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a screwball from Don Sutton and swatted a home run to right. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Giants ahead, 3-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said San Francisco skipper .
The Dodgers, now 6-9 this season, have struggled to play .500 ball.
