Jarrod Washburn was sensational in shutting out the Seattle Mariners, 1-0. Washburn, the winner, moves to 11-11. He threw 9 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. The 4th-place Angels sport a record of 64-87.
Los Angeles got a game-changing hit from Adam Kennedy. The second baseman blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.
