The home crowd had a good time watching the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays get after it.

The Toronto Blue Jays rode a solid performance from 26-year-old starting pitcher Jimmy Key to a win, beating the Tampa Bay Rays, 7-0, at Rogers Centre. The Blue Jays, at 78-69, sit in second place in the American League Eastern Division.

Key gave Toronto an exquisite performance. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8.1 innings.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Key said.
