The Colorado Rockies picked up a win, 8-2, over the New York Mets at Citi Field. Todd Helton led the charge. The Knoxville, Tennessee native was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Colorado. The Rockies go to 53-93, putting them last in the National League Western Division.
In the top of the first, Helton had a 3-run home run for Colorado. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Rockies on top, 3-0.
