With 2-1 Win, Brewers Improve to 82-61
Pete Vuckovich had a strong outing for the Milwaukee Brewers against the St. Louis Cardinals at Miller Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Rollie Fingers earned the save for Milwaukee, his 34th. At 82-61, the Brewers claim first place in the National League Central Division.

The Cardinals had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Brewers going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 30-year old second baseman Don Money came to the plate. Money hit a 2-run home run on a 1-2 fastball from St. Louis hurler Dizzy Dean. It was Money's 11th home run of the year.
