Giants Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
San Francisco starter Hooks Wiltse pitched well against the Los Angeles Dodgers at AT&T Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-4, in 14 innings. The Dodgers fall to 6-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2014.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 14th inning, when San Francisco left fielder Monte Irvin, facing Burleigh Grimes, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Giants the 5-4 win.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Wiltse told reporters after the game.
