Another Day, Another Win for Royals
|
The Kansas City Royals picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, knocking off the New York Yankees, 9-3. Starting pitcher Mark Gubicza played a key role in the triumph. The Royals sit in first place in the American League Central Division with a record of 76-64.
In the top of the second, Joe Randa delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Kansas City third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Royals in front, 9-3.
"Everybody is chipping in right now," said Randa. "That's what makes it so much fun."
