Fans watched the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates fight to the finish.

Chicago designated hitter Kiki Cuyler had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-5. Rick Sutcliffe was the winning pitcher. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 1 strikeout.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Cuyler hit a bases-clearing triple. It thrust the Cubs into the lead, 5-2.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Cuyler.

The loss makes Pittsburgh 79-61.
