Don Gullett, who leads the NL in wins with 17, was locked in. The left-hander led the Cincinnati Reds to a 4-3 win against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Rob Dibble closed the game out for Cincinnati, earning his 26th save. The win makes Cincinnati 68-72.
Cincinnati designated hitter Edd Roush helped the Reds go up, 4-3, in the top of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Roush hit a run-scoring single off Baltimore pitcher B J Ryan.
"Don giving us the start that he did was huge," said Cincinnati manager .
