|
The Detroit Tigers topped the Cleveland Indians, 7-1, in American League action at Progressive Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Detroit pitcher Jack Morris. The Tigers raised their record to 66-74.
Detroit starter Jack Morris was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 7.2 innings.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Morris told the Detroit News. "It's as simple as that."
