Miami parlayed a decent outing from starter Dontrelle Willis into a solid win over the New York Mets. The final score was 4-3. The win puts the Marlins at 65-74, while the Mets drop to 73-67.

The Marlins procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Miguel Cabrera. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

Willis said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
