Red Sox Suffer 4-2 Loss to Rays

Tampa Bay turned a good effort from starter Matt Garza into a win over the Boston Red Sox at Tropicana Field. The final score was 4-2. Jake McGee collected save number 2. The Rays move to 63-74 with the win, while the Red Sox drop to 72-64.
Dave Martinez had a big run-scoring triple for the Rays in the bottom of the second inning. With Tampa Bay leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Roger Clemens and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 9th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rays ahead, 2-0.
"Even if things get a little hairy, Matt trusts his ability," said Tampa Bay manager .
