The Baltimore Orioles beat the Chicago Cubs, 9-8, at Wrigley Field. The win was due in part to designated hitter George Sisler, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The loss makes Chicago 69-62.

The Orioles beat the Cubs with some clutch hitting. The single by Mark Belanger in the top of the ninth is a good example. With two down, Belanger gave his team the lead, 9-8, when he came through with the big hit.

"It never gets old," said Sisler. "Winning, that is."
