The Chicago Cubs picked up a win, 6-3, over the Baltimore Orioles at Wrigley Field. Kiki Cuyler led the charge. The Harrisville, Utah native went 4 for 5 with a triple and 3 singles for Chicago. The winning pitcher was Hippo Vaughn. He's now 10-11. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Cubs. Sean Marshall closed it out for his 32nd save.

Chicago took the lead, 6-3, on Sammy Sosa's 23rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Baltimore pitcher Jack J Powell in the bottom of the seventh.
