The Atlanta Braves beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 4-3. Atlanta pitcher and Buffalo, New York, native Warren Spahn led the way. Spahn, now 6-12, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. Earning the save was Craig Kimbrel. He's now cashed in 26 of 27 save opportunities.
