Twins Deal Royals Painful Loss
Minnesota pitcher Dutch E Leonard did his part in helping his team defeat the Kansas City Royals, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Eddie Guardado picked up the win in relief. Kyle Farnsworth took the loss for Kansas City. Minnesota now sits at 52-70, while Kansas City falls to 63-60.

Minnesota got a knockout punch from Goose Goslin. The pinch hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
