The Milwaukee Brewers knocked off the Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-5, in National League action at Dodger Stadium. Milwaukee pitcher and Tarboro, North Carolina, native Mike Caldwell had an outstanding performance. The second-place Brewers bumped their record to 69-54.
Milwaukee used a clutch at-bat from Don Money to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Brewers ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Caldwell.
