Houston turned a good performance from starting pitcher Shane Reynolds into a 4-1 triumph over the Minnesota Twins at Minute Maid Park. Larry Andersen earned his 29th save in 31 tries. The Astros improved to 60-60.

The Astros got a big at-bat from left fielder Lance Berkman. For the game, Berkman went 1-3 with a triple and was hit by a pitch. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 6th triple of the season gave Houston a 1-0 lead.

"Winning is the only objective," said Berkman after the game.
