The Seattle Mariners picked up a win at Safeco Field, dropping the Chicago White Sox, 8-2. Hisashi Iwakuma was the difference-maker. In 8.1 innings, Iwakuma surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The win boosted Seattle to 65-49.

Ichiro Suzuki had a big 2-run double for the Mariners in the bottom of the second inning. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mariners ahead, 4-0.
