Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Blue Jays
|
The Baltimore Orioles got a superb performance from pitcher Urban Shocker, but the Toronto Blue Jays still won the game, 4-2. Shocker threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Tom Henke snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-3 on the season. Stu Miller suffered the loss. The Blue Jays move to 65-50 with the win, while the Orioles drop to 49-64.
Toronto got a knockout punch from Bo Bichette. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Bichette said in his postgame press conference.
