Marlins Procure 6-3 Win
|
The Miami Marlins downed the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-3, at PNC Park. The Marlins were led by Mark Kotsay. Kotsay went 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Robb Nen recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 4 for 4. With the win over Pittsburgh, the Marlins improved to 50-64.
Miami took a 6-3 lead on Kotsay's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Babe Adams in the top of the seventh, propelled Miami to the win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Kotsay.
