Chicago left fielder Billy Williams had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cubs dropped a 7-5 decision to Colorado at Coors Field. Williams was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Taylor Buchholz wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.

Catcher Kirt Manwaring made an impact for Colorado, when he swatted a 2-run triple off Rick Reuschel in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Manwaring was 2-3 with a triple and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs.

"They beat us fair and square," Chicago skipper said.

The Rockies are now 40-74, while the Cubs fall to 59-54.
