The Seattle Mariners dealt the Atlanta Braves a 5-3 loss at Safeco Field. Ken Griffey Jr, who is tied for 7th in the AL in RBI with 69, was the star on offense. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Randy D Johnson got credit for the win, improving to 11-7. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 6.2 innings.
