The Chicago White Sox picked up a win at U.S. Cellular Field, topping the Minnesota Twins, 4-3. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Ed Walsh. He played a principal role in the triumph. The White Sox now own a record of 52-59.

With Chicago leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Eddie Collins Sr hit a run-scoring single off Minnesota pitcher Walter Johnson. It put the White Sox ahead 2-0.

Walsh told a Chicago Gazette reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.
