Blue Jays Suffer 6-3 Road Loss
|
Houston right-hander Shane Reynolds pitched his team to victory over the Toronto Blue Jays at Minute Maid Park. The final score was 6-3. Reynolds got the win, improving to 11-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Houston's record now stands at 54-56, placing them third in the American League Western Division.
Smithtown, New York-born Craig Biggio came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Astros trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Houston on top.
