Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox. Cleveland won it, 2-1. Cleveland starter Bob Feller was in command. Addie Joss earned the save for Cleveland, his 1st. The White Sox, now 3-9, continue their poor start.

Kenny Lofton contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. His at-bat helped Cleveland get the win.

"The object of the game is to score more runs than they do," said Lofton. "Mission accomplished."
